Who Writes This?

Molly Ford.

I started this blog because I had one little tip that I thought was genius–using clean, unused toilet seat covers as facial blotting tissues (which, I promptly forgot about, and didn’t blog about until five months in). The next thing I knew, I had a domain name, and the blog had found a life of its own.

In real life, I spend my days being a little awkward, a little pretty, and a little smart. Also drinking diet coke, wearing only dresses, and eating lots of pasta, because Sophia Loren once said about her body, “everything you see, I owe to spaghetti.”

  9. Dear Molly:

I think you are actually brilliant, beautiful and poised. That’s what I find in reading your blog.

It would be nice to see your face although I like the headless shot. But if I saw the shot maybe then if we were to cross paths one day in New York or Tennessee or somewhere I could perhaps recognize you– if I wasn’t caught in my own awkward thoughts.

    Best wishes,
    Milly

  20. This is my new favorite blog!!! A good friend of mine told me about it a few months back and as a law student I never felt like I had enough time to introduce anything new to my life. Tonight I had trouble falling asleep so I came out to the living room to facebook stalk old high school friends. As it turns out, I have stalked almost everyone worth stalking somewhat recently and that is when I remembered your blog name. I have spent the last hour reading post after post. You are incredible. This is literally the perfect blog. From here on out this Smart, Pretty and Awkward will be how I start each day. I will definitely print some of my favorite posts to pin up in the student lounge. Hopefully my entire school will soon be fans. Good work! and Thanks 🙂

  21. Love your blog! Your posts are inspiring and interesting!
Great work! I enjoy reading what you write very much!

  22. Hey there!

Just wanted to drop a line and say just how much I adore your blog. It’s the first one I’ve ever found myself actually putting the time into reading and I’m utterly hooked! I saw it on a friends facebook and thought “Hmmm, people say I’m smart, and pretty… and I KNOW I’m awkward… let’s check this out!” And was far from let down. Lots of extremely helpful little tips that I plan on putting to use starting today!

Thanks so much for sharing these little intrigues with the world. And have an epic day!

  24. Constantly impressed with your blog. Thanks for putting a smile on my face and new thoughts in my head!

  25. I usually never comment on blogs, but there have been so many times where your post made my day (whether it made me smile or it was something that especially resonated with me or it just made me go, “Yes, someone who thinks the same thing!”) that I wanted to express my appreciation for the time and effort you put into this. 🙂

  26. I stumbled across your page while looking up design blogs and become hooked. Keep up the lovely work. 🙂

  27. Molly,
Your blog inspires me. I blogged throughout my adventures abroad and have missed blogging ever since returning home. You really can have little adventures everyday (even if you are not across the world) and I am hoping to start up a new one soon. A friend and I just discovered this gem of a blog and I can’t stop reading!!! Thanks for the inspiration Molly!
    xxoo

Also, by coincidence and something I just noticed, I have the same nail polish as you do in your picture up there! The same baby blue shade… I actually wore it to my prom! I’m sure you pull it off much better though. 🙂
Best wishes, and keep making an awesome blog!
